Day 6 continued tube/wire/cord free!!!! :)

So the past like two hours Kayla's stinkin IV stand thingy has gone off and beeped a cazillion times.. and each time it said it was bc of K- not the nurses, the IV stand, and it was.. and there was a kink in the IV wire- in a place they couldn't un-kink it.  So they were just going to switch hands (she has one in both hands) but when they tried to flush it ... nothing happened...she couldn't get it through.  So the nurses went and called ped surgery and they said she didn't need them any more.  The nurses were sweet and asked me what I thought they should do- either do it tonight, or wait til morning.. I did not want to wait- the ones she had looked painful.. so I told them to yank them out now (which is what they preferred to do) It was quick and easy and now K is tube/wire/cord free!! I just hope she can still get pain meds somehow just incase... :)
